Content Writing.

We're Riseup-SEO — an ABN-registered Aussie team writing the kind of content that ranks in Google and gets quoted by ChatGPT. Blog posts, pillar pages, web copy and press releases, briefed in Ahrefs and Surfer, edited for EEAT, and delivered in real AU English. Senior writers only. No offshore spin. No AI slop dressed up as a draft.

Every brief starts inside Ahrefs — top SERP, search intent, related entities, PAA — then passes through Surfer for on-page targets before a senior AU writer ever opens the doc. We cover blog posts, pillar articles, website copy, landing pages, product descriptions and press releases. Two-pass editorial: a structural edit for argument and EEAT, then a line edit for AU English, rhythm and zero clichés. Most jobs land in 5–7 business days. Rush turnarounds available.

Which content writing service is right for you?

Four formats cover almost every brief we run for AU SMBs: Blog Posts, Article Writing, Website Copywriting and Press Release Writing. Each has its own purpose, its own length range and its own pricing — pick the one that fits the job, or stack them across a quarter.

Blog Posts (800–1,500 words, from $220) suit weekly publishing and top-of-funnel SEO. Article Writing (1,500–3,500 words, from $480) is what we use for pillar pages, comparison guides and the long-form work LLMs love to cite. Website Copywriting (per page, from $280) is the conversion layer — homepage, service pages, about, landing pages, all rewritten with a real CRO checklist. Press Release Writing (from $390) is built for AAP, Mirage News and AU industry publications, with a journalist-friendly news hook in the first 40 words.

Not sure which mix you need? Most clients start with one pillar article plus four supporting blog posts a month — the cluster pattern Google’s John Mueller has called “a sensible way to build topical authority.” We’ll map it with you on the call.

In-house vs outsourced content writing — what actually scales?

An in-house writer in Sydney runs $85k–$110k base plus super, plus tools, plus management time — and you still get one person’s voice, one person’s bandwidth, and one person’s sick days. Fine if you publish twice a week forever. Painful the moment you need a 4,000-word pillar, a press release and ten product descriptions in the same fortnight.

Outsourcing to our team gives you a roster of senior AU writers — finance, legal, trades, SaaS, ecommerce — matched to the brief by domain. Scale up to 20 pieces in a peak month, scale back to two when budget tightens, no HR conversation either way. We’ve shipped 600+ pieces for AU clients since 2024 [VERIFY], every one edited by a human, every one EEAT-checked before it leaves our doc.

FAQs

What is the difference between content writing and copywriting?

Content writing builds trust over time — blog posts, pillar articles, guides, the work that earns rankings and gets cited inside ChatGPT and Perplexity. Copywriting moves a single visitor today — homepage hero, service pages, ad copy, product descriptions, the work judged on conversion rate, not session time. We do both, and most AU SMBs need a mix: a strong copy layer on the money pages plus a steady content layer feeding it from the blog.

What types of content can I request?

Blog posts, pillar articles, comparison guides, suburb and city pages, service pages, homepage rewrites, About pages, landing pages, product descriptions (Shopify and Woo), category copy, press releases, email sequences and lead-magnet ebooks. We don't write thin AI-generated suburb spam — every page passes ≥40% original content per the same standard our spec/05 content-strategy doc enforces. If you're not sure what you need, send the URL and we'll scope it.

How can I manage my content writing projects?

Everything runs through a shared Notion (or Google Drive, your call) board: brief in, draft, edit-pass-1, edit-pass-2, ready-to-publish. You see status in real time, leave comments inline, request revisions in the doc. Weekly Friday update from your account lead with what's shipped, what's in progress and what's queued for the next sprint. No portal logins to remember.

Can I request a specific word count?

Yes — but we'll push back if the count fights the SERP. Ahrefs gives us the median length of the top 10 ranking pages for your target keyword; we usually brief 10–20% above that for genuine depth. If you ask for 800 words on a query where the top results all run 2,500+, we'll tell you why that brief won't rank and suggest an honest length.

Are revisions included?

Two rounds of revisions included on every piece, no questions asked. Most clients use one. We turn revisions inside 48 business hours. If you need a third round we'll do it — anything past that usually means the brief shifted, in which case we'll re-scope rather than band-aid.

Will the content be original and unique?

Yes. Every draft passes Copyscape and Originality.ai before it leaves our doc — we target ≤25% AI-detection score, the same threshold Google's spam policies treat as human-led content. No spun text, no plagiarised paragraphs, no LLM-only first drafts shipped to you raw. If we use AI to accelerate research (we do, openly), a senior AU editor rewrites every paragraph before delivery.

Is the content optimized for SEO?

Yes — properly optimised, not just keyword-stuffed. Each brief includes the primary keyword, 5–15 secondaries from Ahrefs, the People Also Ask questions to answer, the entities Google expects to see, internal-link targets and the schema type to mark up (Article, FAQPage, HowTo). Surfer scores every draft. We aim for a Surfer content score of 75+ before delivery — without ever writing for the tool over the reader.
